Emerald Hill Farm welcomes Amy
and her sweet Perry. Perry is a
talented and kind Appendix who has
begun his career as a hunter. He will
be a great addition to our show family!
Emerald Hill Farm is proud to
announce that Good Humor's owner,
Erin, is graduating from East Carolina
University in early May and is moving
to California. The down side is that
Good Humor, known in the barn as
Joe, will be leaving us to return to
Erin's family farm in the northeast,
where Erin's Mom will take over the
reins. We will miss Erin and Joe and
we wish them both much luck in their
Emerald Hill Farm welcomes Grace
and her Thoroughbred, Canoe! Grace
is from Southern Pines, NC, where
she trains with Michael Plumb. She
and Canoe are enjoying working on
their flatwork and stadium jumping
skills while Grace pursues a degree at
East Carolina University.
Emerald Hill continues to grow. This year we have added a new farm to our property and have integrated that additional land into our
overall plan for an equestrian community. We enjoyed a wonderful clinic with Laurel Tinney, redesigned our website, continued our
long term plan to maintain and upgrade the barn and pastures, welcomed Holly Diehl as our new barn manager, added a number of new
boarders, celebrated the return of Ashley Cooke to the barn, and competed successfully at rated shows near and far . . . to share but a bit
of our news. All of our stalls are currently leased and we have a waiting list as well.
In addition to all the exciting things happening at Emerald Hill, one thing we did not expect
has changed. We regret to inform all that after many years of wonderful and supportive
service to our boarders and riders, Stefanie King will be leaving her position as Trainer at
Emerald Hill Farm to pursue other areas of her life starting August 1st. Although we are very
sad to see Stefanie moving on, we are extremely excited to welcome Christy Burns as her
replacement as of August 1st. Having worked with Christy in the past, Robin feels that she is
a great fit for all of the Emerald Hill Clients. With her strong dressage background,
extensive experience starting young horses and tons of experience teaching and riding, she
will make a great addition to the Emerald Hill team.

Emerald Hill Farm welcomes a new
boarder, Anna, and her Thoroughbred
gelding, Quid Pro Quo, aka Charlie.
An experienced rider and a veteran of
the A circuit, Anna is attending
college at East Carolina University
and will continue her training with
Charlie in the jumpers.
Emerald Hill Farm welcomes Gracie and Hopscotch, aka Peaks, a
thoroughbred gelding. Gracie has worked with our trainer Robin
Tinney for a number of years in both the hunters and jumpers. She
is attending East Carolina University and will continue working
with Peaks in the hunters and equitation. Gracie trailered Peaks to
Emerald Hill to have her high school senior portraits taken, and
this is one of the beautiful pictures shot in the barn that day.
