Emerald Hill is a gated, restricted community catering to those who
enjoy horses and prefer a quiet, country lifestyle in an elegant setting.
Phase 1 of the community development has been approved and
subdivided by Pitt County and is now ready for sale, offering a very
limited number of residential lots ranging in size from just under 4
acres to over 17 acres. Although 5 of the original 12 lots have
already been sold, 7 lots remain available.
Located on approximately 235 acres off of Seven Pines Road
between NC Highway 222 and NC 43 North, it is about 6 miles
northwest of Greenville, North Carolina, and offers easy access to
State Highway 264 and Interstate I-95.
Emerald Hill is home to a beautiful equestrian center, Emerald Hill
Farm, which occupies over 30 acres in the center of the community.
Residents may keep horses on their own property, limited to one
horse per two acres of land and subject to other restrictions, or may
board a horse at the equestrian center, space permitting. All residents
will have the opportunity to join the Emerald Hill Riding Club,
granting them access to the equestrian center’s lighted riding arena,
jumps and trails. Easements on a number of the larger lots provide
for approximately three miles of private wooded riding and walking
trails that are groomed and maintained by the community for use by
all residents. The trails cover rolling terrain and follow Little Kitten
Creek, a natural boundary for the community and a tributary of the
Tar River, providing a peaceful place to enjoy the beauty and nature
of Eastern North Carolina year round.
The Emerald Hill community is buffered to the North and West by
creeks and abundant natural woodlands, and to the South and East
by extensive, mature landscaping. Clearing of a portion of the
wooded land on residential lots will be allowed, but will be carefully
restricted in an effort to maintain the natural, private atmosphere of
the community. Access to the community is through an electric gate
requiring an access code.
The majority of the roads in the community are already paved or will
be paved once adjacent lots are sold. All electric and telephone lines
are underground and are accessible to each existing lot. High speed
internet service is available. Septic systems and water lines or wells
are not included.
